Jego zainteresowania badawcze obejmują psychologiczne i duchowe aspekty korzystania z inteligentnych telefonów oraz współczesne formy cyfrowej religii.

My name is Yan Miao. I come from China and I am currently pursuing a PhD at Jagiellonian University, focusing on museums as a medium of political communication. In the #HumanePhone project, I am responsible for researching the digital habits of Chinese people in different generations. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, listening to podcasts and cycling.

Belinda Valaquio

Belinda R. Valaquio, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at Central Philippine University, where she teaches Research and Professional Education subjects in the School of Graduate Studies, College of Education, and Senior High School. She also serves at the Iloilo State University of Fisheries, Science and Technology. As a Research Adviser and Panel Chairperson/Member, she mentors graduate students and contributes to educational research. Her published works include Student Teachers’ Enhancement Program (STEP): A Journey of Teaching and Learning and The Performance of the College of Education Graduates in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). She has also collaborated on international research initiatives, further enriching her contributions to the global academic community. Previously, she held leadership roles at the University of San Agustin, including Principal, Director of the Quality Management Office, and Dean of the College of Education.

My name is Kaja Baker. I lived in Australia for 10 years before moving to Poland to study at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. I study journalism. I got involved in the HumanPhone project so I could provide data from Australians. The research concerns phone usage and screen time from people of different ages. In my free time, outside of my studies, I enjoy swimming and going out for hikes.

As a former TV reporter, I’ve always been drawn to stories that reveal the deeper patterns shaping our lives. As a recipient of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, I was awarded the opportunity to study abroad through the University of Washington- Seattle, which led me to numerous countries in Europe including Poland. I then went on to graduate from New York University with a Master’s degree in Global Public Health.

Now, as a PhD candidate in Health Education and Promotion with a focus on behavioral health, I’m exploring how our digital environments influence well-being. I joined the #HumaneProject to bridge these two worlds—media and health—to contribute to a more thoughtful understanding of technology use, scrolling habits, and the impact they have on our health. This project reflects my passion for promoting awareness and empowering people to develop healthier, more mindful relationships with their devices.

Daniel Aguilar-Rodríguez

Daniel studied Social Communication at Universidad Externado de Colombia and later earned a Master's degree in Sociology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a PhD in Sociology from Kansas State University, where he focused on international migrant populations. For the past 20 years, he has dedicated himself to research and university teaching. His areas of interest include cultural consumption, forms of citizen political participation, and graphic narratives.

He is currently the coordinator of the Master's Program in Creative Communication and Merging Media at Universidad Externado de Colombia and a co-founder of the Recasens Communication Research Group. Since 2025, he has been involved with the #HumanePhone project, based in Colombia.

Like Dr. Jekyll, Daniel Aguilar-Rodríguez has a Mr. Hyde, who on nights of a full moon puts on a leather jacket and becomes the drummer for a rock and roll band.
